The Impact of Selected Subsidy Program on Household Poverty in Rural Area in Sabah

This study examined the impact of three different categories subsidy on poverty in eight rural districts Sabah 2009 until 2016. The are selected consumer items (sugar, wheat flour, cooking oil-1kg polybag, and rice), petrol diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) subsidy. Poverty is dependent variable, meanwhile items, subsidies used as independent variables. Random effect chosen to examine stationary data. From test it was found that variable has positive relationship with variables, which increasing will increase number household. There many other factors contribute between delivery system areas main issue this program. Leakages middleman system. Thus, a recommendation new approach needed make sure program more effective reach target group.
